1st Floor

Virginia Applied Technology and Professional Development Center provides cost effective, consulting services to a wide-range of manufacturing and service-based organizations. The center also provides quality, performance-based programs to support the professional development requirements of the engineer and technical professional.

Lean Manufacturer Institute finds solutions for issues related to enterprise productivity. The Institute also addresses issues related to other business functions such as supply chain logistics, technology management, human resources, design, and contracting.

Center for Advanced Ship Repair and Maintenance works to make ship repair and operations more cost effective, while meeting or exceeding environmental requirements for a variety of maritime-focused operators.

2nd Floor

Old Dominion University Research Foundation supports and enhances the research mission of Old Dominion University by providing highly valued administrative, fiscal and support services in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.  The foundation works with the university to create and develop opportunities for sponsored program activity and to maximize the utilization of research results.

Old Dominion University Office of Research serves the university faculty and staff by providing administrative services to support the research enterprise.  In addition, the Office provides an important interface with public and private members of the external community that have a vested interest in research. 

Computational Intelligence and Machine Vision Laboratory develops new algorithms and architectures for real-time applications in the areas of signal processing, image processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, artificial neural networks, and bio-mimetic object-vision recognition.

Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) is a full-service, FAA-licensed spaceport that provides low-cost access to mid-inclination and sun synchronous orbits for small- to medium-class expendable launch vehicles with payloads up to 12,000 pounds.  The state-owned spaceport is located on the NASA Wallops Flight Facility on Virginia's Eastern Shore, an ideal site for access to the International Space Station.

3rd Floor

Center for Coastal and Physical Oceanography promotes research on the physical oceanography of the coastal ocean and related oceanographic processes.  A high-technology research center with an operating budget of $2.1 million, CCPO research includes particle trajectory analysis, large-scale along-shore flow, modeling cross-shelf transport mechanisms, effects of buoyancy forcing, and description of coastal ocean systems.

4th Floor

National Center for Systems of Systems Engineering is a collection of independent, nonprofit, engineering research and application organizations, government entities, and universities that have joined together with a common goal to solve problems, develop technologies, and direct research focused on critical issues related to the integration of complex systems of systems.

CHROME (Cooperating Hampton Roads Organizations for Minorities in Engineering) aims to increase opportunities for underrepresented minority and female students to enter science, mathematics, engineering and related technical fields.  Through partnerships with colleges and universities, businesses, government and community organizations, CHROME serves 13 area school divisions in more than 100 CHROME Clubs representing nearly 3,000 students.

Office of Spatial and Cartographic Information utilizes the latest engineering technologies in land use planning, surveying, and civil engineering.

5th Floor

EVMS Health Services is a not-for-profit physician group that further supports the mission and goals of the Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). Over 150 physicians specialize in family and internal medicine, obstetrics, medical and surgical specialties as well as radiation oncology. All physicians are full-time teaching faculty at EVMS. The integration of physicians with EVMS resident physicians and students enhances patient care and provides an academic advantage unique regionally to EVMS Health Services.
